Hello! My name is Abby!I'm a senior lady at 15 years and ready for my retirement home! I'm looking for a home with a soft, cushy bed where I can rest most of the day. A short trot around outside is nice for fresh air, but I'm not looking for any long walking adventures. I'm very treat-motivated and love to eat. I'm looking forward to maintaining my healthy figure to keep me comfy and healthy in my senior years!MY IDEAL HOME INVOLVES...CHILDREN: No, being a senior, I would prefer a calm, quiet home to retire. OTHER DOGS: Yes, a senior dog who will let me rest and sleep should be fine.CATS: Yes, I seem to be indifferent to cats. FIRST-TIME DOG OWNERS: Potentially, if you have some experience or strong knowledge of caring for a senior pet and the financial commitment and frequent vet visits that can come with that. FENCED-IN YARD: No.HOUSING ENVIRONMENT: Any. SOMEONE HOME MOST OF THE DAY: Not required.SOME OTHER THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME...ACTIVITY LEVEL: Low. I'M ON A PRESCRIPTION DIET: No. HOUSE-TRAINED: Yes, for a small, senior dog, but don't expect me to hold it all day. If this pet doesn’t work out, we will try to match you with another amazing pet. 4) Our team will reach out to you to discuss the next steps, including setting up a virtual adoption meeting via Zoom or other video conferencing. This is a great opportunity for us to assess if the pet is a perfect match for your home/family. These meetings can be scheduled 7 days a week during shelter operation hours. 5) If everything goes well, we will set-up a pick-up time and your new pet gets to come home!
